The Dual-Axis L-Type Positioner, also referred to as an L-type positioner welding workstation, is a type of welding robot workstation. The system adopts a collaborative operation mode of “robot + laser welding kit + positioner,” where the L-type positioner works in tandem with the welding robot to perform flipping and rotating welding tasks. It supports the combination of manual pre-tack welding and fully automated long-seam welding by the robot, making it suitable for manufacturing products that require high precision, sealing performance, and appearance quality in welds.
Applications of the Dual-Axis L-Type Positioner
A positioner is a practical auxiliary positioning device suitable for the automated welding of small, medium, and large workpieces that need to be flipped on multiple sides before all welds are completed.
Advantages of the Dual-Axis L-Type Positioner
The system can be paired with a laser tracking system to compensate for workpiece assembly deviations. It is equipped with a 2kW laser generator and an adjustable spot welding head, supporting real-time adjustment of various spot profiles and parameters to meet different welding requirements.
The maximum weldable workpiece size reaches 1000mm × 1500mm × 1000mm (length × width × height). The positioner has a load capacity of 500kg and a tooling disk diameter of 1600mm, making it suitable for medium to large workpieces.
The equipment is easy to operate. After short-term training to learn basic process programming, operators can independently run the device. Once the workpiece is loaded, the entire process requires no manual intervention, significantly reducing the skill requirements for operators.
