Orbital welding station, also called ground rail robotic welding station or seven-axis single-machine welding station, is a kind of welding equipment that uses ground rail movement to expand the working range. It is mainly composed of a 6-axis welding robot, special ground rail, slide table, control system, welding power source, gun cleaning station, welding system, etc. The ground rail bracket is 12 meters long. Working areas can be set up on both sides of the ground rail. Multiple robots can also be used for welding in different areas. The transportation work and welding work can be carried out at the same time, effectively improving production efficiency.

Application scope of orbital robotic welding station:
The orbital robotic welding station is mainly used for welding open components such as H-shaped steel, roof beams, box columns and other fillet welds. The welding station meets the welding work within the arm span of the welding robot. The maximum size of the workpiece is not the work coverage of the robot. For details, refer to the workpiece shown in the technical agreement.
Advantages of orbital welding robot station:
The orbital robotic welding station uses digital twin technology, which can realize synchronous movement of the software interface and the robot station, combining virtual and real; the digital scene is model-driven, with the advantages of high efficiency, high precision, and few errors. The robot’s movement posture and welding posture are completely visible in the software interface, presented at a 1:1 ratio, and one person can have multiple machines. Smoothly connects to mainstream 3D modeling software such as Tekla and SolidWorks, and supports direct import of .ifc .step.stp format model files with one click. It only takes 1 second to generate a workpiece model.
The seam finder scans the marked points on the workpiece through the camera, and corrects the welding position and height through the laser displacement sensor. It can achieve flexible, multi-variety contactless spatial positioning, automatic correction, and precise welding operations. No teaching required, no programming required, simple operation, new users can get started quickly.
Orbital robotic welding station configuration:
The standard configuration of the orbital robotic welding station is a 12-meter ground rail, a sliding table, a 6-axis welding robot body, an industrial computer, an LCD monitor, a standing console, a ground rail motor, a gun cleaner, a welding power supply, a water cooling box, a welding gun, and a wire feeder. It consists of a barrel, laser seam finder, electrical control cabinet, integrated drive and control software control system, etc. All components are manufactured by well-known brands or are self-developed and produced by xizhgang, with reliable quality and stable performance.
The robot adopts the formal installation method and cooperates with the servo motor to drive the slide table to complete the welding work of the workpiece. The equipment is equipped with red, yellow and green alarm indicators. If there is a problem, the corresponding indicator light will light up and alarm. In addition, the orbital welding station is equipped with multiple emergency stop switches, which can stop the equipment immediately when an emergency occurs.
Orbital robotic welding station processing plan:
The workpiece is manually spot welded first, and then the robot performs all the welding work. The ground rail-type single-machine welding station is suitable for welding workpieces with larger lengths, and can carry out a wider range of welding work through the ground rail mobile robot. The robot uses a line laser to locate the weld seam and accurately find the starting point of the weld seam. The self-developed arc tracking process ensures the effect of welding forming. It comes with a welding process library that can be easily operated by non-welders. Our self-developed welding process library supports manual fine-tuning to ensure perfect welding results. Programming-free operation of welding seams is realized through the system software. The operation is simple and easy to use. Female workers can skillfully operate the robot after 10 days of learning.

Orbital cantilever welding workstation configuration:
The seven-axis orbital cantilever welding workstation consists of a 2-meter 6-axis robot dedicated to high-precision welding, a 14-meter ground rail bracket, a BCW-600Pro seam finder, a cantilever, a column, a sliding table, a water-cooled welding machine, an automatic gun cleaning station, an operating table, and Cypweld automatic welding software lamp composition. Among them, the laser seam finder, five-hand handheld box, driver, industrial computer software, positioner, and robot linkage are all designed and developed by us independently, with reliable quality and worry-free after-sales.
